Scientific activities of the Orthopaedic department

1. Sunday's Scientific Meetings

  • Theme: every Sunday morning the whole department members meet for one hour in the early morning

  • Place: operating room library

  • Time 8:00-9:00am

  • Subjects to be discussed: it changes every week to cover

  1. Morbidity and mortality: for discussing the previous month performance, statistics as well as how to improve our work

  2. Journal club: discussing several recent papers from different journals mainly Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS), International Orthopedics (SICOT) and Journal of Orthopedic Trauma (JOT).

  3. What an Orthopedic Surgeon Should Know: discussing different subjects in medicine and surgery that may be helpful in our work with the help for colleagues from other departments.

  4. Evidence based instructional meeting and review articles: a special subject is discussed from recent review articles with evidence based.
