Undergraduates Teaching Program 2020/2021

Dear students,

We would like to welcome you all to the orthopaedics and traumatology undergraduates teaching course for the year 2020/2021.

During the 3 weeks course, we will be using the hybrid system.

Online lectures and handouts will be available here to provide the basic knowledge. Round cases based discussion will be done face-to-face with a staff member to illustrate the basic knowledge and transform it to practical situation. End of round exam is a MCQ exam based on a case scenario and analysis.

Curriculum Plan

Based on the current global circumstances, the teaching program was modified to fit the hybrid educational system with a full update of the educational content.

Our Target is a general practitioner having basic knowledge, able to diagnose and perform the initial management of musculoskeletal emergencies and commonly encountered diseases.

Homework after day 1

Watch and read lecture 1,2 and 3. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 2 face-to-face cases for discussion.

Homework after day 2

Watch and read lectures 4 and 5. Revise lectures 1,2 and 3. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 2 face-to-face cases for discussion.

Homework after day 3

Congratulations !!! Now you done with the trauma module. You will start the diseases and examination module.

Please watch and read lecture 6. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 4 face-to-face cases for discussion.

Please watch and read lecture 7. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 5 face-to-face cases for discussion.

Please watch and read lecture 8. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 6 face-to-face cases for discussion.

Please read Chapter 9 (final Chapter )and watch the lecture video. Prepare your questions and prepare yourself for day 7 (final day of attendance) face-to-face cases for discussion.

Day 7 will include important revision and preparation for the end-of-round MCQ exam.
