Undergraduates Teaching Program
The Kasr Al-Ainy Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery is recognized as one of the largest and most established centers of its kind in Egypt. It offers a comprehensive portfolio of musculoskeletal services and functions as a tertiary referral center, serving patients from the local community, Cairo, and beyond.
The Department provides an exceptional opportunity for well-rounded education and surgical training in both the science and art of orthopaedics and trauma surgery. It plays a pivotal role in teaching clinical students and contributes significantly to postgraduate education in orthopaedics. A well-structured program addresses a wide range of subspecialties, including arthroplasty, oncology, trauma, hand and upper limb surgery, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, limb reconstruction, and pediatric orthopaedics.
Consultation and treatment are available for all general orthopaedic conditions, delivered by pioneering experts with established expertise in subspecialist areas.
Orthopaedic trauma is managed through urgent admissions via accident and emergency services, as well as through outpatient fracture clinics, ensuring comprehensive care across the full spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries.

Contribute to the educational mission of Cairo University by providing specialized expertise in orthopaedics and trauma surgery across undergraduate, graduate, and medical programs, as well as postdoctoral and continuing medical education initiatives.

Foster an optimal environment and coordinate resources to support high-quality research focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Engage in academic service at local, national, and international levels through active participation in university, professional, community, and governmental activities.

Offer comprehensive care for musculoskeletal injuries and diseases, encompassing inpatient and outpatient surgical services, rehabilitation, and long-term patient management.
